Trinity Oaks Farm is a family owned and operated facility. It is the creation of mother and daughter team, Carol Saulsberry and Karine Brooks. They are striving to bring together a fun, professional, environment that nurtures both horse and rider. Teaching with patience and respect and most importantly safety first. Through positive training and encouragement we create an environment for growth allowing both horse and rider to achieve their goals.
Karine Brooks (Hunter/Jumper trainer and Barn manager)- Karine has been riding her whole life and started her career competing in the United States Pony Club on the east coast. During her time with Pony Club she qualified for nationals and also spent time competing in England. While on the east coast she and her mom and sister were active members of the Wentworth Hunt Club, and spent the fall Sundays running with the hounds on mock fox hunts. When her family moved to southern California, she continued competing as a junior in everything from the hunter and jumper ring to 3-day eventing. During that time she was also a working student for her trainers, doing everything from exercising horses to grooming for them at shows.
When she turned professional she focused her career on hunters and jumpers, teaching and riding for some well known trainers in northern California and Washington. While working there she had great opportunities to clinic and ride with some well respected trainers from all over the U.S. France and British Columbia. Her focus now is to use her diverse competition background and training to continue training horses and riders for competition in the Hunter, Jumper and Equitation division.
She has just returned to riding and teaching after taking a break to start her own family. She lives on the farm with her husband and their two children.
"Horses and riding have always been my passion. I am most in my element when I am in the saddle. As an instructor I am always trying to stay inspired and innovative. For my younger students I try and teach beyond the arena giving them life skills. For my mature students whether they are new to riding or returning to a childhood passion I try and instill confidence while giving them new challenges. Trinity Oaks Farm is a life long dream for me, and so I have invested all my passion."
